Our business thrives when people and the planet flourish. Our focus is on creating sustainable and shared value for shareholders, employees, nature and society. By embracing sustainable practices and innovative solutions aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we ensure long-term success for our business.
Olympic has integrated the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact into our strategies, committing to respecting human and labor rights, environmental protection, and anti-corruption efforts, as reflected in our policies.   

Beyond commitments, we have also mapped the impacts we have on people, planet and prosperity as well as the financial sustainability related risks and opportunities that can impact the viability of our business.

CLIMATE CHANGE AND A JUST ENERGY TRANSITION

We operate within the blue energy sector, providing vessel services to ocean renewables, energy infrastructure, and offshore oil and gas projects. Our services make a significant contribution to a just energy transition and enhancing energy security, leveraging the goals of EU Green Deal.

We are also committed to taking urgent action to combat climate change by implementing strategies to reduce the climate footprint of our activities, offering vessel services with a low climate footprint, and enhancing climate resilience of our assets, operations, and business model.

ECO-EFFICIENT OPERATIONS

We strive for continuous improvement in the environmental performance of our fleet while respecting planetary boundaries. Our goal is simply to create more value while reducing our consumption of resources and energy, thus creating less pollution and waste, in line with the circularity goals of the EU Green Deal.

Our main contribution to reduce pollution and resource use and to mitigate climate is to ensure our vessels operate as energy efficient as possible

We also recognize the significance of diversity and inclusion, with a specific goal to elevate the proportion of female seafarers within our ranks

SHARED VALUE CREATION AND BUSINESS ETHICS

At Olympic we aim to build a good reputation and relationship with stakeholders along our whole value chain, through responsible and fair business practices, in line with the 10 principles of the UN Global Compact. 

  •  We prioritize cyber security and anti-corruption measures to ensure that business operations are secure and transparent.
  • We strive for high customer satisfaction and fleet utilization. We aim to align activities with the EU Taxonomy’s environmental objectives.
  • We engage with local communities in Fosnavåg and through our joint venture Olympic Jebsen Offshore Inc in the Philippines. We utilize local content in projects, which refers to the use of local skills, materials, and services in constructing and maintaining assets or services.
  • We aim to ensure that the supply chain is managed in a way that is sustainable and responsible, considering the environmental and social impacts of sourcing decisions.

As part of our commitment to responsible business conduct, we identify and manage actual and potential impacts on people, with a particular focus on human rights and working conditions. In line with the Norwegian Transparency Act, the Equality and Anti-Discrimination Act, and our membership in the UN Global Compact, we are dedicated to respecting and promoting human rights across our operations and supply chain.

We conduct social due diligence and expect the same from our suppliers and partners. By doing so, we strengthen trust in our business and contribute meaningfully to sustainable development.
